Thales Alenia Space participates in RADECS 2024 and gives visibility to SCOPS

SCOPS –  sept 30, 2024

Thales Alenia Space in Space, partner in SCOPS Consortium, participated in the European reference conference for space radiation RADECS 2024, held in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands in Spain, during week of 16-20 September 2024.

RADECS (RADiation and its Effects on Components and Systems) is the reference conference in Europe for radiation effects to space systems. The major space sector manufacturers, industries, research centers and universities from Europe and all over the world participated on it, being a key moment to know the last advances on radiation effects on space systems. SCOPS was presented during the networking sessions to the relevant actors in the space sector with a common interest on the topic and a general agreement on the importance of the hardening of SCOPS outputs to space radiation environment effects, including Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and sensitivity to Single Event Effects (SEEs).

RADECS 2024

RADECS 2024 is a good opportunity to show projects like SCOPS on which the European Commission is funding the innovation and development of engineering solutions that are requested by space market trends.
