IMEC

IMEC

MEC, Europe’s largest independent micro-electronics research center, founded in 1984 by the Flemish Government, is one of the largest in the world in the field of microelectronics. Its leading role in Europe has been increased after the successful merger with iMinds, which was completed in September 2016. The renewed imec organization now brings together nearly 3,500 researchers from all over the world, to make the impossible possible in many application areas. It has access to a unique infrastructure, including 12,000 m2 of cleanrooms with the most advanced equipment for research into next-generation IC technologies, and state-of-the-art bio, network and imaging labs. And, of course, an extensive network of local and international industrial and university partners for intensive collaboration. IMEC performs scientific research which runs 3 to 10 years ahead of industrial needs. The most important scientific activities are concentrated on the development of new process technologies for the next generation of chips, optoelectronic components, microsystems, solar cells, sensors… In addition, work is oriented towards new design technologies for electronic systems (such as the design of complete systems on a single chip), with a special focus to telecommunications and multimedia. IMEC performs education and training of experts in the field of microelectronics through its microelectronics training center. Many training courses are organized annually in the field of chip design, process technology and related domains.

INP Toulouse

INP Toulouse

Research institute specialized in power electronics. Is a R&D partner, involved in the project as a collaborative partner. INPT Is the owner of the original patent No. WO/2014/005973 describing the target technology. This patent and its know-how have been licensed to NXP exclusively and in a broad field. It is planned in the project, that NXP sub-licenses this patent in the field of interest of the consortium. In this way, INPT brings the know-how of the technology used, transfers the know-how to the partners within the framework of the project in agreement with NXP. INPT shall also advice on the definition of the architecture of the integrated circuit and participate in the development of simulation models for validation of the architecture and synthesis of the circuit main parameters.

ISD

ISD

Integrated Systems Development S.A. (ISD) is an independent organization established in Greece in 1998 (http://www.isd.gr). ISD is active in the domain of Integrated Systems (IS) of guaranteed quality and performance. It is an R&D organization working with system houses, software houses and integrated circuit manufacturers. Actually ISD acts as an original electronic equipment developer and integrator, providing services ranging from software development for embedded and general purpose platforms, to digital and analog/RF integrated circuit design, memory design, to digital signal processing for embedded/stand-alone applications and PCB design, assembly and testing. Over the years, ISD has developed several complex mixed signal ICs for space applications in the context of ESA funded projects.
