AMICSA 2025: Showcasing progress about ADC’s Electrical Measurements in PROMISE

SCOPS –  2025, jun 19

SCOPS consortium participates in 10th International Workshop on Analogue and Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits for Space Applications (AMICSA)

The Analog and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits for Space Applications (AMICSA) conference continues to stand out as a premier international platform for sharing the latest breakthroughs in analog, mixed-signal, and custom microcircuit design—especially for the demanding conditions found in space environments. This year's eagerly anticipated event took place in Lisbon, Portugal, spanning three insightful days from June 16th to 18th.

AMICSA brought together scientists, engineers, and industry leaders to discuss novel solutions and advancements geared toward enhancing the reliability and performance of integrated circuits in space. One of the event highlights, for PROMISE, was the discussion around pilot circuit packaged devices, which are now available for comprehensive electrical characterization.

The team focused the presentation on the testing of the first sub-block: the Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). With its high-resolution capabilities, the ADC is especially sensitive to noise originating from surrounding circuitry, such as the power supply and input signal generator. To address this, a dedicated test environment was developed to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the ADC’s electrical characterization.

Meanwhile, the electrical characterisation of the remaining sub-blocks is ongoing. Results from these tests are anticipated to be shared in future editions of AMICSA or other leading workshops in the field.
